Larry and his wife Robin together have 5 adult children and have lived in Severna Park/Millersville for 33 years. Larry has created quite a name and reputation within the community. He is so involved, that his neighbors and friends have given him the title “Unofficial Mayor.” You might know Larry as “The Voice” of Severna Park High School athletics, as he has been the P.A. announcer for all home football and baseball games for the last 19 years.
After working 10 years for The Voice Media, Inc., serving on the board of directors for Severna Park Community Center, to current Shop Local Chairman for the Greater Severna Park/Arnold Chamber of Commerce, among other ventures, Larry’s unofficial title starts to sound more official.
Two years ago, Larry and Michael Hall, owner of Severna Park Lanes, co-founded the “Strike-Out Cancer” fundraiser event. To-date it has generated over $31,000 for the benefit of Fight CRC Organizations. Larry was also the MC of the Fight CRC National Gala for the past two years. Larry, Robin, their daughter Katherine and her husband Matthew founded the “Fight NET Cancer with Katherine” benefit that was held on August 24, 2019. This event generated over $74,000 that was matched by the Spark Hope Campaign for a total donation of $148,000. 100% of the proceeds were given to the benefit of the Neuroendocrine Tumor Cancer Research Foundation in support of their daughter Katherine who has been diagnosed with NET Cancer.
